We hope that you have found it to be helpful getting regular updates about the rebranding. We have a few updates and some important action items we
need your help with.
Your store email address is ready to be used. If you have not already done so, we need the person from your store that will be responsible for checking the email to send an email to jbruinsma@legacythrift.org. The email to Jessica will need to include the name of the person who will be checking it and an email address where instructions can be sent to set up your store's @legacythrift.org email address. We are asking all stores to use an @legacythrift.org email address for a few reasons. First being accessibility, if a password is lost or the person
checking the email becomes ill or unable we are able to reset the password and give access to someone else in your store. Second reason is that our new website has a place for volunteers to fill out an inquiry form about volunteering with your store. That form will eventually be directed right to your store's email account.
The rebranding and name change is an opportunity to make our marketing efforts more consistent across the stores. As you all know, social media is a large part of an overall marketing plan. We are working to make sure our messaging stays consistent and "on-brand" across social media just as our printed materials. We are asking all stores to add Jessica Bruinsma on their store Facebook accounts as an administrator. She will be updating the about section,
cover and profile photos. Please have your Facebook person get in touch with her via email, jbruinsma@legacythrift.org, or phone 712-449-5287. In addition this will ensure that another person is able to login to your Facebook account. We have had more than a few occasions where
a volunteer in charge of a Facebook account has gotten ill or left and nobody is able to get into the page. The only option for an abandoned Facebook page is to have it deleted and that is a long and complicated process.
We are in the process of getting quotes, having conversations and making plans to have all store
signs changed by the end of the Spring. Truck and trailer wraps will follow the sign change for stores with trucks or trailers.
John Scafe will be contacting you shortly to find out where you would like to have press releases sent. We will be sending press releases out to local media on your behalf. You will have the
opportunity to review the release before it is sent out. We are asking you to refer any questions from the media to John or Jessica. The press releases will be sent after the signs are changed.
Rack cards and brochures will be in the stores by early April and we hope that will be a useful tool for conveying the mission and
purpose of the stores.
If you have not done so please take a few minutes to look at the new website, www.legacythrift.org. Review your store's listed hours and let us know if you have any questions.
We really appreciate your efforts and enthusiasm for funding our ministry partners and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ!
In Christ,
Legacy Thrift Operations Team
